We are proud to support charities that make a meaningful difference to people and communities.
The Samaritans is a Charity that provides emotional support to those feeling isolated or struggling with emotional distress, helping to prevent the risk of suicide. The Samaritans respond to a call for help every 10 seconds and are there to help those struggling to cope without any pressure or judgement.
It is a charity close to many people’s hearts. Most recently, on 9/9/23, 11 members of the Haggards Crowther team walked the 25km Thames Bridge Trek to raise funds for The Samaritans. We raised a phenomenal £3,800 on Just Giving.
The Mabula Ground Hornbill Project helps to protect the species by harvesting chicks that would have died of starvation if left in the wild, by artificially rearing them.
They also re-wild these artificially-reared chicks in carefully managed groups. Another way that the Charity helps these birds is by providing artificial ‘super nests’ to groups that have no nests or poor nests.
The Mabula Ground Hornbill Project also researches the genetics and behaviour of Ground Hornbills to promote the successful conservation management of the species.
Their nationwide campaigns help to raise the funds needed to protect the species. You can read more about the Charity here.
We are also proud sponsors of Barnes RFC. Established back in the 1920s, Barnes Rugby Football Club has a rich history – something we are delighted to be a part of.
Haggards Crowther also proudly sponsors Hammersmith and Fulham Rugby Club. Once a Hammer, always a Hammer!
We are also sponsoring the Reeds Weybridge RFC.
